2 Weeks Moving In The Field, Lhokseumawe Police Arrest 3 Perpetrators Of Thieves And 4 Traffickers
ACEH - The Lhokseumawe Police, Aceh confiscated dozens of stolen motorbikes and arrested three suspected perpetrators and four suspected criminals.
Lhokseumawe Police Chief AKBP Eko Hartanto said the three perpetrators were SB, YZ and EF. While the four collectors are MZ, WY, ML and AM.
"A total of 13 motorcycles with seven perpetrators were cases that were revealed by the Lhokseumawe Police in the last two weeks," said Eko in Lhokseumawe, Antara, Friday, March 4.
Of the seven perpetrators, two of them SB and YZ are recidivist or people who have been convicted. SB is a recidivist for motorcycle theft and YZ is a recidivist for cattle theft.
"The stolen goods are then sold to middlemen with prices ranging from Rp. 2 million to Rp. 8 million per unit," said AKBP Eko Hartanto.
AKBP Eko Hartanto said the evidence on the motorbike and the seven perpetrators was the disclosure of 11 police reports from the Lhokseumawe Police.
According to AKBP Eko Hartanto, the disclosure of the motorcycle theft case was based on public information and the hard work of the ranks, so that the perpetrators and evidence could be secured.
The perpetrators are threatened with being charged with violating Article 363 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 64 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of seven years in prison.
"We remind people who have vehicles to be more careful in parking their motorbikes, whether at home or in public places. For those who have lost, immediately file a police report," said Eko.
