Ridwan Kamil: Cooking Oil Is Available, But The Price Is Above Rp. 14 Thousand
CIREBON - West Java Governor M Ridwan Kamil said that currently the price of cooking oil in traditional markets is still above the highest retail price (HET), but the most important thing is that the community's needs are available.
"I was monitoring that cooking oil was available, but the price turned out to be above the HET Rp. 14 thousand," said Ridwan Kamil in Cirebon as reported by Antara, Friday, March 4.
According to him, currently the most important cooking oil is available first, later when the needs have been met, it will definitely follow the HET that has been set.
"The most important thing is to have it first (for cooking oil)," he said, after visiting the Articlearan Traditional Market, Cirebon Regency, which had just been inaugurated.
In addition to the still high oil price, Kang Emil as he is familiarly called, also highlighted that several basic needs have increased.
As with beef, red chilies, and shallots, prices are currently increasing, because this, said Emil, is due to several factors that influence it.
"The price of cattle is rising again, if there is a relationship with imports, we will ask the central government. Chilies and onions have also increased, maybe before the fast," he said.
Meanwhile, a trader at the Articlearan Market, Cirebon Regency, said that the prices of red chilies and shallots had increased for two days.
For the price of red chili, for example, two days ago he sold it for Rp. 38 thousand, and currently it is selling at Rp. 48 thousand. Meanwhile, the price of shallots has increased in the range of Rp. 5,000 per kilogram.
"The price went up two days ago, from Rp. 38 thousand per kilogram, to now Rp. 48 thousand per kilogram," he said.
