Police Secure Car Driver Collisions 4 Motorcycles, Angkots And 2 Kiosks In Bandung
BANDUNG - The police have arrested a car driver with the initials AG who is suspected of being involved in a hit-and-run which resulted in a mob in the Margaasih District, Bandung Regency, West Java.
Kanitlaka Satlantas Cimahi Police Ipda Bayu said the minibus type car (Kijang) with police number D-1058-ZS driven by AG allegedly hit a number of vehicles in the Katapang area. Then, he said, the crowd gave chase to the Margaasih area.
"The perpetrator has been detained at the Margaasih Police, and then later taken to the Bandung Police," said Bayu, quoted by Antara, Friday, March 4.
According to Bayu, AG was initially involved in an accident with a motorcycle in Katapang, Bandung Regency. Then AG, driving his car, allegedly fled towards Kutawaringin, and at that point AG was involved in an accident again.
"When arriving at Margaasih, the driver hit a coconut stall and crashed into a stall, and hit a number of motorbikes," said Bayu.
At the last point, namely in Margaasih, the car driven by the AG was attacked by a mob. The reason is that the people involved are suspected of being residents who have been chasing AG from Katapang.
From this incident, Bayu noted that four motorbikes were damaged. In addition, there was one city transportation car that was hit by AG and two kiosks belonging to residents were damaged.
From this incident, Bayu ensured that there were no recorded victims who suffered injuries or fatalities. So far, he said, the recorded losses are material losses such as damage to vehicles and kiosks.
