Police Protest Suspects Robbery In Tambelang Guru Mengaji
JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya regarding information that said Muhamad Fikri, a suspect in the robbery in Tambelang, Bekasi, was a Koran teacher. Based on the investigation, the suspect is a student.
"The perpetrators who claim that they are Koran teachers are not true, they are not Koran teachers," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan to reporters, Friday, March 4.
In addition, Zulpan also emphasized that in handling the case there was no element of violence committed by the Tambelang Police. So, it can be ascertained that the steps taken by investigators are in accordance with the rules.
"Then there is no violence perpetrated by the police in this regard. There have been surveillance measures carried out by the internal police which have yielded results, meaning that they have justified law enforcement efforts by the local police," said Zulpan.
Members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tambelang Police, Bekasi Regency were reported to the Propam Polda Metro Jaya by the family of the perpetrator of the robbery case with the initials MF, on suspicion of wrongful arrest and case manipulation. However, the report was declared unproven.
"The Polda Metro Jaya Propam conducted an examination, and the investigation found no wrongful arrests and case manipulation," said Zulpan.
The report to Propam, said Zulpan, was carried out by the suspect's family after losing the pretrial trial on September 1, 2021. In which, the panel of judges at the Cikarang District Court decided not to grant their claim.
"The process for the filing of the Tambelang Police investigator was in pretrial on September 1, 2021 by the suspect's attorney. Then the decision was made on October 1, 2021 with the content of the decision 'rejecting the applicant's exception'," said Zulpan.
Even the team of lawyers for the suspect MF also complained to the Tambelang Police investigators to Kompolnas on November 5, 2021. However, the results they received made them disappointed.
Based on the results of the National Police's investigation, there were no procedural violations by Tambelang Police investigators.
"The results of the examination show that in the process of arrest and confiscation, they have complied with the procedure," said Zulpan.
