Deputy Mayor Of Malang Tells The Story Of Meeting With The Late Hero Tito, Leaves A Message For The Family
JAKARTA - Deputy Mayor of Malang, Sofyan Edi Jarwoko, visits the funeral home of the national boxer, Hero Tito, in Sindurejo Hamlet, RT3/3 Banjarejo Village, Pakis District, Malang Regency, East Java, Friday, March 4. During his visit, Sofyan Edi told that he had met Hero Tito.
The meeting occurred during the inauguration of The Lion Boxing, which was in Sukun District, Malang City some time ago. At that time, he continued, Hero Tito invited himself to take a group photo at the inauguration of the boxing gym.
Sofyan said that the deceased, whose real name was Heru Purwanto, was an exemplary figure.
"Hero Tito is a figure that needs to be imitated. He is a hard worker, from childhood until now he really loves his profession," said Sofyan Edi, as quoted by Antara.
Sofyan Edi added that Hero Tito was also a very polite and kind person to everyone. He also then appreciated the deceased who was considered capable of making the name of the Malang region proud in the international arena with his achievements.
"Without a love for the profession and hard work that is done in earnest, it is difficult to achieve that (achievement)," he said.
Sofyan Edi also advised the family, wife and children of the late Hero Tito to forgive the 36-year-old boxer's departure. He wished the deceased the best and the family was given the strength to stay strong.
"I also ask my wife and family to be sincere and patient. This is all done for the sake of the children, wife and family," he added.
Hero Tito passed away on Thursday, March 3, at 16.45 WIB, after undergoing treatment for five days at the Mitra Keluarga Hospital, Kelapa Gading, Jakarta. Hero suffered brain swelling after the match against James Mokoginta at Holywings Gatsu Club V, Jakarta, 27 February.
Hero Tito made his professional debut since February 28, 2004 and has recorded 48 matches. Of the total matches, 29 of which he won, drew and lost 17
