The Late Hero Tito Has Been Banned From Competing In Hollywings
JAKARTA - National boxing mourns. One of the proud boxers of the country, Hero Tito, passed away on Thursday, March 3.
Hero Tito died after several days of being treated at the Mitra Keluarga Hospital, Kelapa Gading, Jakarta. He is in critical condition due to brain swelling.
He got the injury during a match against James Mokoginta in an additional match at Holywings Gatsu Club V, Jakarta, Sunday, February 27.
Hero Tito was hit hard in the seventh round and could not continue the match. A duel he shouldn't have played.
Hero Tito actually has plans to go to the ring in Toowoomba, Brisbane, Australia on March 12, 2022. Rosa Kusuma, the match stylist who arranged the Hero's match plan in Brisbane, has warned the boxer not to fight against James.
"But he didn't budge, because he reasoned that he needed money to build his house. Besides that, according to him, the match in Australia will only be six rounds, so he considers it to be something that is not too heavy," said Rosa, to VOI.
"Even Hero was actually asked by match promoter Brendan Smith to stay in Brisbane for a month and prepare," he continued.
According to Rosa, Hero Tito will be paid 4000 Australian dollars (approximately Rp42 million) for the six-round match which he was supposed to play on March 12. The pay is fairly large for a six-round duel.
"So actually Heru doesn't need to be desperate to compete on February 27. I've advised Heru not to join the ring that Sunday night. But I can't stop him because I'm not his manager," said Rosa.
Hero Tito's body will be taken to Malang to be buried there. Currently, the family is processing the dossier for the return of the body of the 4-time national champion winner to Malang, East Java.
"Before going home, the body will be prayed before sunset there. Maybe it will come in Malang tomorrow morning," said Hero Tito's family representative, Zulham A Mubarrok.
