Earthquake Refugee In West Pasaman Dies

SIMPANG EMPAT - An earthquake-affected resident who took refuge in a tent in the courtyard of the West Pasaman Regent's office, West Sumatra, Nur Baya (75), died at the Yarsi Simpang Empat Hospital.

The deceased was a resident of Kampung Pasir, Jorong Rimbo Batu Kajai, Talamau District. He came to flee to the place after the earthquake on Friday, February 25.

Acting Head of the West Pasaman Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Azhar, confirmed that a refugee had died.

According to information, the deceased had had a fever since Wednesday morning and died when he arrived at Yarsi Simpang Empat Hospital at around 18.30 WIB.

The West Pasaman Regency Government also released the bodies of the victims for immediate burial.

The West Pasaman Regency Government expresses its condolences for the passing of the refugees and hopes that the families left behind can be given fortitude.

Head of the West Pasaman Communications and Information Office, Edi Murdani, confirmed that a resident who had fled had died at the Yarsi Hospital.

"The increase in the number of deaths brings the total number of victims from the earthquake to seven," he said.

Previously, the six residents who died were Endra Watib (51), a resident of Jorong Lubuk Landua, Pasaman District, Asri Dewi Lestar (24), a resident of Panjang Bridge, Fatih (2) a resident of Panjang Bridge, and Nevi Herawati (47) a resident of Pasa Lamo Kajai. , Anismar (70) a resident of Kajai and Lawiyah (70) a resident of Kampuang Pasia, Nagari Kajai, Talamau District.
