February 2022, Dozens Of People In Gunung Kidul Died Due To COVID-19
GUNUNG KIDUL - The death rate of patients due to COVID-19 in Gunung Kidul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, during February was 24 cases, and March six cases were caused by congenital or comorbid diseases and had not been vaccinated.
Head of the Gunung Kidul Health Service (Dinkes) Dewi Irawaty in Gunung Kidul, Wednesday, said that based on data from the Gunung Kidul Health Office, in February 2022 the death rate due to exposure to COVID-19 reached 24 cases and from March 1-2, there were six cases.
"Most cases of death are comorbid and have not been vaccinated. Comorbidities make sufferers more vulnerable when exposed to a disease because health care is more complex," said Dewi Irawaty, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, March 2.
Regarding cases of unvaccinated death, most of them were dominated because the person concerned had never been injected with a COVID-19 vaccine with criteria over 50 years of age.
He admitted that in the last few weeks there had been a spike in active positive cases in Gunung Kidul, including deaths. Currently, his party is still collecting data for comparison from previous months.
"We hope that the public will obey the health protocols. Many cases have been exposed to COVID-19 due to neglecting the health protocols," he said. 23 shelters that can be used for quarantine.
