KONI Corruption, Lampung Attorney General's Office Examines Witness From Staff Elements

BANDARLAMPUNG - The Lampung High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) examined one witness in the alleged corruption case of misuse of grant funds from the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) for Fiscal Year 2020.

"Today the Lampung Attorney General's Office Special Unit has examined one witness in the Lampung KONI case," said Head of the Lampung Attorney General's Office, I Made Agus Putra in Bandarlampung, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, March 2.

He continued that the witness being examined had the initials EG, who was a staff at KONI Lampung.

"We will check EG regarding his task of assisting the Lampung KONI Treasurer for the 2020 Fiscal Year," he said.

Made added that witness examinations were carried out to provide information for the purpose of investigating a criminal case that was heard, seen, and experienced. Previously in the investigation process stage, there were several facts that had to be explored in these activities, including the KONI work program and the submission of grant funds not based on the proposal. the needs of KONI and sports, he said.

"This causes the use of KONI grant funds suspected of irregularities and not in accordance with the designation," he said.
