Disbursement Of JHT Returns To Old Rules Even Simplified, Minister Of Manpower Ida: Job Loss Guarantee Program Still Valid

JAKARTA - The Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah stated that the Old Age Security (JHT) program rules returned to the old rules. This means that the regulation regarding the disbursement of JHT at the age of 56 is canceled. Ida also ensures that the Job Loss Guarantee (JKP) program remains in effect. In fact, there are already workers who claim.

Thus, continued Ida, currently there are two employment social security programs to protect workers/laborers who have lost their jobs, namely JHT and JKP.

"Several laid-off workers have already claimed and received cash from the JKP program," he said in a written statement received by VOI, Wednesday, March 2.

Ida said JKP has three benefits that can be obtained by JKP participants, namely cash benefits, access to job information through the pasker.id site, as well as training for skills, upskilling and re-skilling.

For your information, following up on the President's directives regarding the procedures for requirements and payment of JHT that need to be simplified, the Minister of Manpower Regulation (Permenaker) Number 2 of 2022 concerning Procedures and Requirements for Payment of Old Age Security Benefits (JHT) was revised.

"In principle, the provisions regarding JHT claims are in accordance with the old rules, even simplified," he said.

As an effort to speed up the revision process, said Ida, the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) is currently actively absorbing aspirations with the Trade Unions/Labour Unions. The Ministry of Manpower also intensively coordinates and communicates with related Ministries/Institutions.

"We are currently revising the Minister of Manpower Regulation Number 2 of 2022, God willing, it will be completed soon. We continue to absorb aspirations with the Trade Unions/Labour Unions, and communicate intensively with Ministries/Institutions," said the Minister of Manpower Ida.
