2 Teens Occupy Human Cage In The Publication House, Komnas HAM: One Of Them Is Because They Often Skip School
JAKARTA - Commissioner of the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) Choirul Anam said that there was an occupant of a human cage at the house of the Regent of Langkat, who was not active in Terbit Angin Angin, who was still a teenager, aged around 17 years.
This was conveyed by Anam in the press conference 'Records of Violence in Human Cage at the Residence of the Regent of Langkat Off' which was broadcast on the Indonesian National Human Rights Commission's Public Relations YouTube.
"There are residents who are still children, still in high school. Possibly, yes, those aged 16-17 may be teenagers," said Anam on Wednesday, March 2.
Anam said this finding was obtained at the end of the process of deepening the team that went directly to Langkat, North Sumatra. Komnas HAM has not yet explored the child's whereabouts.
However, based on the information obtained, one of them was put in a cage for truancy.
"One of them entered because he often skipped school or there was also entered because he was inferior when he passed a TRP brother. So he was immediately put into the cage," he said.
While in the cage, Anam said the two children along with other occupants were employed at the factory owned by Terbit and his family, namely PT Dewa Planning Warin Angin.
"These children, indeed he was employed in the factory," he said.
Regarding this finding, Komnas HAM will then ask the police to conduct an investigation. Because this finding has not been investigated further.
"We have not had time to explore this. Because it is the last process and later we will specifically recommend to the police to explore it," he concluded.
