West Java Prosecutor's Office Asks Nurhayati's Case Not To Give Up On Reporting Corruption

JAKARTA - Head of the West Java High Prosecutor's Office (Kajati) Asep N Mulyana asked the public not to be afraid to report if they find allegations of corrupt practices such as that of a former village official in Cirebon, Nurhayati.

According to him, giving Nurhayati a SKP2 (Stipulation Letter for Termination of Prosecution) is a message for the public not to be afraid to report and expose any known corruption crimes.

"The Cirebon District Attorney's Office has officially issued a Termination of Prosecution Letter (SKP2) on behalf of suspect N," said Asep in Bandung, West Java, Wednesday, March 2, quoted from Antara.

SKP2 has been handed over by the Head of Special Crimes at the Cirebon District Attorney's Office, Suwanto to Nurhayati as a sign that he is free from suspect status.

With the issuance of SKP2, according to him, there are no more cases to ensnare Nurhayati. Even so, the evidence in the Nurhayati case will be used for corruption cases in the APBDes in Citemu Village, Mundu District, Cirebon Regency.

Previously, the District Attorney (Kejari) of Cirebon Regency, West Java, issued a certificate of termination of prosecution (SKP2) for the suspect Nurhayati in connection with the corruption case.

"Today, we issued SKP2 to Nurhayati, for the sake of legal certainty, so that the suspect Nurhayati is released with her suspect status," said Head of the Cirebon District Attorney's Office Hutamrin in Cirebon, Tuesday (1/3).

He said that after receiving the second stage of the Nurhayati case, his party carried out research on the case.

Nurhayati previously said that what happened to her was not a scourge for village officials or other employees who knew that there were corrupt practices in their workplace.

Nurhayati admitted that after being named a suspect, she was very surprised and depressed because what she was fighting for had turned to her. However, Nurhayati continued, it is hoped that the case she experienced will not become a scourge for everyone who knows about corruption in their workplace to report it to law enforcement.

The former treasurer or head of financial affairs (kaur) of Citemu Village, Cirebon Regency, West Java, Nurhayati admitted that she wanted to return to serving the community by becoming the administrator of Citemu Village after the cancellation of her status as a suspect in the alleged corruption case of village funds.

"Hopefully I will be accepted again to serve the community," said Nurhayati in Cirebon, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, March 2.

Nurhayati hopes that the people of Citemu Village will accept their service again as village administrators and feel happy if they are allowed to serve as they used to.
