The stabbing occurred near the Baitul Izzah mosque, Karangsari Village, Sempu District, Banyuwangi, after praying, Tuesday, March 1. The victim is Rosidi (45), who is also known to be the head of the NU branch in the local village.

After investigating the news circulating, it turned out that a stabbing took place. The perpetrator with the initials R (55) is a neighbor of the victim.
"The alleged stabbing occurred after the victim performed the midday prayer at the mosque. At that time the victim passed in front of the reported house," said Lita, Wednesday, March 2.
At that time the perpetrator was cleaning the grass in his yard. The perpetrator called the victim and got into an argument. The suspect then slashed a knife at the victim's body.
The victim was able to escape and save himself into the mosque. He had lacerations to his lower abdomen. The victim chose not to take the case to the police.
