Although the post was commented on by 1,600 Twitter users and has been retweeted 7,950, Fedorov does not include a DOT crypto address for Polkadot holders who wish to donate their holdings. Therefore, the crypto community asked Ukraine to accept donations in Polkadot coins.
The request was immediately responded to by the official Twitter account of the Ukrainian government which announced that it received donations in Polkadot and included the DOT wallet address. Apart from that, other cryptocurrencies were also added including Solana (SOL).

Cointelegraph reports that the total crypto donations to Ukrainian charities, the military and the government have been more than 37 million US dollars. A single donation from Gavin Wood alone is more than 10 percent of the total crypto donations.
This is the largest contribution made by an individual. In addition, Sam Bankman-Fried's platform, FTX, donates 25 US dollars for every Ukrainian registered on his platform. Meanwhile CEO Deepak Thapliyal of Chain.com donated 100 Ether (ETH), or more than US$280,000 (around Rp. 4.2 billion).
In addition to DOT founder Gavin Wood, the Polkadot ecosystem has also contributed more than $210,000 to the official DOT wallet for Ukraine since this morning, according to Polkadot blockchain data.
As of now, crypto donations for Ukraine are still ongoing. The donation will be used to provide Ukrainian citizens with military, medical and other necessities.
