BPBD Records 6,329 Families Affected By Pamekasan Flood
PAMEKASAN - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Pamekasan Regency, East Java recorded that the total number of residents affected by flooding in Pamekasan Regency during the flood disaster that occurred Tuesday 1 March morning and until Wednesday 2 March morning was still ongoing as many as 6,329 families (KK).
"The 6,329 families affected by the flood are spread across six sub-districts and four villages," said Public Relations of the BPBD of Pamekasan Regency, Zaini, in Pamekasan, Tuesday evening, March 1.
Each in Jungcangcang Village, Patemon, Parteker, Barurambat, Kanginan Village, then Laden Village, Nyalabuh Laok Village, Samiran and Kodik Village.
In Jungcangcang Village there are 2,316 families, Patemon 1,226 families. Parteker 912 families, Barurambat 300 families, Gladak Anyar 30 families, and in Kanginan Village as many as 600 families.
Furthermore, in Laden Village there are 800 families, Nyalabuh Laok Village 30 families, then Samiran Village as many as 15 families, and in Kodik Village as many as 100 families. "So, the total number reaches 6,329 families," he said.
He explained that the number of families affected by the flood was temporary data received by the BPBD of the Pamekasan Regency Government until Tuesday (1/3) at around 23.50 western Indonesia time.
"The possibility could still increase, considering that not all affected villages/hamlet have reported their data tonight," he said.
Floods due to overflowing rivers that occurred in Pamekasan hit several villages/kelurahan in five sub-districts, namely Pamekasan, Palengaan, Proppo, Pademawu, and parts of Galis Districts.

Of the five sub-districts affected by the flood, the worst was in Pamekasan District, which inundated five sub-districts and two villages.
In Palengaan District, floods hit the villages of Palengaan Laok and Palengaan Daja, two villages in Proppo District, namely Kodik Village and Samiran Village, as well as two sub-districts and three villages in Pademawu District, namely Barurambat Timur Village, Lawangan Daja Village, Sumedangan Village, Lemper and Pademawu Village.
Meanwhile in Galis sub-district, floods hit Konang, Galis and Polagan villages.
A number of public facilities, such as educational institutions, mosques and prayer rooms as well as government offices were also flooded, including the office of the Islamic organization Nahdlatul Ulama on R Abdul Aziz street, Pamekasan.
