Don't Disturb Investments In The Regions

JAKARTA - Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia reminded that parties should not interfere with the course of investment in an area. This was conveyed by Bahlil when inaugurating the Banyuwangi Theme Park and Water Park, Friday, January 3.

The IDR 150 billion investment project was built by PT Duta Insani Bangun Perkasa on an area of 5 hectares and is projected to absorb up to 200 local workers.

"I remind you, according to the President's direction, there should not be any parties that interfere with the course of investment in an area. We already have an MoU (memorandum of understanding) with the AGO, later with the National Police, so that investors feel protected. with the aim of disturbing investors. We will face it, "said Bahlil.

Bahlil said the government will pursue firmer investment realization in the future in order to anticipate the impact of the weakening economy and encourage job creation.

Therefore, the government will not hesitate to take action against anyone who deliberately interferes with investment in the regions.

Bahlil also asked that licensing at the regional level not be complicated. Currently, the central government is completing the implementation of accelerated licensing at the national level through Presidential Instruction No.7 of 2019.

"We not only speed up licensing. But we are also ashamed if we lose to other countries which reform their licenses very quickly," Bahlil explained.

He said that investment in the tourism sector is difficult to develop because it is hampered by regulations or regulations. "Many investors are eyeing the tourism sector, but are caught up in strange regulations," he said.

Bahlil gave an example based on information obtained from the Regent of Banyuwangi, Abdullah Azwar Anas, that the region had planned to build a Cable Car. However, the permit from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry has not yet been issued. In fact, these rides will be able to suck even more tourists to Banyuwangi.

To the Head of BKPM, Regent Azwar Anas complained that the permit had not yet been obtained. In fact, the local government has been submitting the application for more than three years. "Until now, it has not gone out yet. In fact, our budget has been used up going back and forth to Jakarta," he said.

The cable car rides in Banyuwangi are claimed to be able to attract tourists because the area offers interesting views. Cable cars are also said to be loved in various countries.

"In Europe there is no need to mention it again. Almost all countries exist. China builds Cable Car everywhere. We are even made difficult by our own regulations or bureaucracy," said Azwar Anas.

Banyuwangi Theme Park

The laying of the first stone of the Jatimpark Group's themepark network was carried out by Bahlil, Banyuwangi Regent Abdullah Azwar Anas, Head of the East Java Provincial Investment Service Aris Mukiyono, Director of PT Duta Insani Bangun Persada Enggartiasto Lukito, and Director of Jatimpark Rio Imam Sendjojo.

The construction of the theme park, said Bahlil, is the right step to make Banyuwangi a complete tourist destination. "Banyuwangi is well known for its natural and cultural tourism. Also international tourism events through the Banyuwangi Festival. Now has a cool themepark. I am sure this will make Banyuwangi even more attractive to tourists, "he added.

Director of PT Duta Insani Bangun Persada Engartiasto Lukito, as the executor of the development, said that the theme park is part of the Jatimpark tourism network which has a variety of international standard tourism vehicles. The theme park in Banyuwangi is built on nearly 9 hectares of land in Kabat District.

"Jatimpark Group saw a good opportunity and a strong commitment from Regent Anas. We support the Banyuwangi economy so that it continues to develop forward, "he said.

Various rides will be built, starting from the science center, education corner, turtle conservation education, Ijen Crater rides complete with blue fire panoramas, Sukamade rides, to the largest bumpy water park in Indonesia.

There is also a mini farm, petting zoo, kids playground, instagramable cafes, indoor theater, and a haunted house mystery vehicle. Of course there are also various games of international standard. The construction of this theme park is targeted to be completed and can be opened on the Eid holidays or the third week of May 2020.

"As requested by Regent Anas, especially in Banyuwangi, we built a theme park with local specialties. Like the Wahana Ijen and Sukamade, "said Enggartiasto.

Ijen Crater and Sukamade Beach are two favorite natural destinations in Banyuwangi. Ijen offers a global blue fire phenomenon. The Sukamade Beach is very beautiful and is a place for turtles to lay their eggs.

The theme park also provides an indoor theater to display regional arts and culture and there is space for MSMEs to market their products. Banyuwangi Regent Abdullah Azwar Anas said the theme park would complement the choice of destinations in the eastern tip of Java Island.

"We realize that tourism is moving dynamically. After nine years of focusing on natural tourism and arts and culture, now there is a theme park to provide new experiences while expanding the reach of family tourists. So Banyuwangi will be more friendly for family tourism, "he explained.

The presence of this theme park has also created a new economic movement in the suburbs of the city center of Banyuwangi. "Surely this theme park will be followed by its side industries, from souvenirs, souvenirs, stalls, transportation services, accommodation services, and so on," concluded Anas.
