TNI Commander Exposed COVID-19, KSAL: He Is Isoman, No Symptoms
JAKARTA - The TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa is currently undergoing self-isolation after being exposed to COVID-19.
This news was conveyed by the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy (KSAL) Admiral Yudo Margono. He said, Andika underwent self-isolation after being tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday, February 28 yesterday.
"Mr. TNI Commander, he is still isoman. Yesterday afternoon he was hit," Yudo told reporters in Jakarta, Tuesday, March 1.
Yudo said Andika was in good health because she did not experience any symptoms. In fact, before being tested positive for COVID-19, he reviewed the preparations for the TNI-Polri Leadership Meeting (Rapim) at TNI Headquarters, Jakarta.
"Without symptoms. Yesterday he was still reviewing here, yes, still reviewing this (rapim, red) readiness," he said.
It was previously reported that General Andika Perkasa was exposed to COVID-19 by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) while delivering the remarks of the TNI-Polri Rapim today, Tuesday, March 1.
At that time, he told the participants that Andika was not present because he was exposed to COVID-19. Andika's presence, continued Jokowi, was represented by KSAL Admiral Yudo Margono.
"Commander of the TNI, this morning the KSAL was represented because this morning, he had just contracted COVID-19," Jokowi said in his remarks.
