KPK Examines 3 Judges Related To Alleged Bribery In Handling Cases In PN Surabaya
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues to investigate allegations of bribery related to the handling of the case at the Surabaya District Court (PN) that ensnared inactive judge Itong Isnaeni Hidayat. The investigation was carried out by summoning three witnesses today, Tuesday, March 1.
The three witnesses who were summoned were the judges of the Surabaya District Court, namely Emma Ellyani and Yoes Hartyarso, and the Makassar District Court Judge Mohammad Fadjarisman.
"The three of them were examined as witnesses for suspect IIH related to the corruption crime of bribery in the management of cases at the Surabaya District Court, East Java," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, to reporters, Tuesday, March 1.
Ali did not specify what the three witnesses would investigate. However, they are suspected of knowing about Itong's alleged receipt of bribes when he chaired the trial for the dissolution of PT Soyu Giri Primedika (SGP). It was previously reported that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) appointed the inactive Surabaya District Court Judge Itong Isnaeni Hidayat and the substitute clerk, Hamdan, as recipients of bribes. While the giver is a lawyer and representative of PT Soyu Giri Primedika, Hendro Kasiono.
This bribe was given by Hendro Kasiono so that the decision on the PT SGP case was according to his party's wishes, namely that the company was declared disbanded with a divisible asset value of IDR 50 billion.
The money given by Hendro to Hamdan was carried out in the parking lot of the Surabaya District Court Building amounting to Rp140 million as a sign of completion. However, before the money was in the hands of Judge Itong, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) carried out a hand arrest operation (OTT).
