Beware Of Follow-Up Floods, 3,519 East Aceh Residents Refuge

JAKARTA - At least 3,519 residents from 1,036 families in East Aceh Regency were displaced due to flooding. The number is based on the records of the local Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD).

"Thousands of these residents fled to relatives' houses as well as meunasah and mosques that were higher up and were not flooded," said East Aceh BPBD chief Ashadi in East Aceh, quoted by Antara, Sunday, February 27.

Ashadi said the evacuation points for residents include Alue Mirah Village, Indra Makmur District, 140 residents from 35 families. Next in Julok District, covering the village of Julok Tunong 950 residents from 300 families.

Furthermore, Paya Bukong Village 70 residents from 25 families, Blang Uyok Village 155 residents from 60 families. Darul Aman sub-district includes Gampong Keude with 65 residents from 15 families.

Ranto Pereulak sub-district includes Punting Payong Village with 445 residents from 112 families, Mata Ie Village as many as 60 residents from 15 families, Alue Bate Village 120 residents from 58 families, Seumali Village there are 120 residents from 30 families, and Seumanah Jaya Village 180 residents from 45 families. .

Then the East Pereulak District includes Kuala Pateng Village with 264 refugees from 211 families, Babah Kreung Village 156 residents from 39 families.

"The villages in Seunebok Lapang are 50 families. As for the residents who are still in the data collection, Alue Tho Village has 81 residents from 20 families, Seunbok Punti Village 48 residents from 12 families, Seunebok Tengoh Village 40 residents from 10 families," said Ashadi.

Meanwhile, in Peudawa District, it includes Meunasah Kreung Village, 200 residents from 65 families, Asan Ramphak Village as many as 12 residents from three families. And Madat Sub-district includes Lueng Sa Village with 407 residents displaced from 103 families.

"For other flood-affected residents and staying at home each of them reached 15,360 people from 4,234 families. We remind people who are still staying at home to be wary of aftershocks," said Ashadi.
