Bank DKI Digital Transactions Increase 40 Percent
JAKARTA - Bank DKI recorded a 40 percent increase in the number of digital banking product transactions during 2021. The increase was due to the use of JakCard and JakOne Mobile for transportation payment facilities.
"JakCard transactions in 2021 reached 2.14 million transactions, an increase of 40.20 percent from JakCard transactions in 2020 which reached 1.53 million transactions," said Director of Technology & Operations Bank DKI, Amirul Wicaksono in his statement, Saturday, February 26.
This increase in digital transactions is because JakCards are widely used as e-tickets for various modes of public service transportation, such as TransJakarta, Micro Trans, Jak Lingko Angkot, MRT Jakarta, LRT, to airport trains or Railink. Then, JakCard is also the main payment instrument in various tourist areas owned by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government
"JakCard is the main payment instrument in various tourist areas owned by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government such as the Ragunan Wildlife Park, Monas, Planetarium, Ancol and various museums," he said.
Therefore, continued Amirul, his party will continue to develop digital products. So that in the future it will be easier for the community.
"To meet the growing need for digital banking products, Bank DKI continues to develop various digital products and services," said Amirul.
On the other hand, the increase in digital transactions also bears sweet fruit for Bank DKI. Because, JakCard and JakOne Mobile won the Popular Digital Brand award for electronic money and electronic payments at the 3rd Indonesia's Most Popular Digital Financial Brands Awards 2022 organized by Iconomics.
"Bank DKI's achievement in winning awards is thanks to customers' trust in using Bank DKI's JakCard and JakOne Mobile products. We continue to encourage the implementation of non-cash transactions in DKI Jakarta and its surroundings through digital banking products and services from Bank DKI," he said.
For information, as of January 2022, Bank DKI has more than 17 thousand merchants who have joined Bank DKI's JakOne Mobile QRIS service, with the number of users reaching 1.6 million users and the number of transactions reaching 18.38 million transactions in 2021 or an increase of 38.51 percent compared to 2020 which reached 13.27 million transactions.
