Coal Mine Collapses In China: 14 Workers Trapped, Their Fate Unknown
JAKARTA - At least 14 people were trapped when a coal mine collapsed in Guizhou Province, China, on Friday (25/2).
The accident occurred at the Sanhe Shunxun coal mine area in Zhenfeng County.
The incident is thought to have been caused by the collapse of the roof of the coal mine tunnel, said the Qianxinan Prefectural Authority which oversees Zhenfeng County, Saturday, February 26, as reported by Antara.
Rescue efforts for the victims of the coal mine ruins in the southwest region of mainland China are still being carried out.
Mining authorities in China also cannot confirm whether the victims of the collapsing coal mine are still alive or not.
