Reading Of The Verdict On Alleged Ethical Violation Of Firli Bahuri Postponed Due To COVID-19
JAKARTA - The implementation of an ethics trial with an agenda of reading the verdict against the Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri and the Chairperson of the KPK Employees Council Yudi Purnomo Harahap has been postponed until next week.
"The plan for the ethical trial of the KPK Supervisory Board by examining YP, KPK and FB employees, the KPK Chair is postponed from Tuesday, September 15, 2020 to Wednesday, September 23, 2020," said Acting KPK spokesman for prevention Ipi Maryati in his written statement, Tuesday, 15. September.

The postponement of the trial was carried out in the context of handling and controlling COVID-19 within the KPK. Ipi explained, from the results of contact tracing within the institution, there was an interaction between members of the KPK Supervisory Board and employees who had been exposed to this virus.
"The postponement of the trial agenda was carried out because of the need for fast action to handle and control COVID-19 within the KPK, especially the KPK Supervisory Board. From the results of internal tracing, it was found that there were indications of interactions between employees who were positive for COVID-19 and members of the KPK's Dewas swab a number of related parties, "he said.
