SAR Team Finds Flood Victims In Kupang Regency In Dead Condition
KUPANG - The joint SAR team managed to find Abraham Nofu (68), a resident of Naitae Village, Fatuleu Barat District, Kupang Regency who was swept away by the flood while crossing the Siumate River in a dead condition.
"The victim was found during the second day of search operations when the SAR team searched the Siumate River, Naitae Village, Fatuleu District, Kupang Regency", said Head of the Kupang Class A Search and Rescue Office, Emi Frizer in Kupang, Thursday, February 24.
The search and rescue operation was carried out by the Joint SAR team by conducting sweeps from the accident scene (LKK) to the west and around the mouth of the Siumate River as far as 4 km and to the east as far as 4 km.
According to Emi Frizer, to strengthen the SAR team for a more effective and efficient search and rescue operation, the Kupang Basarnas Office added another six SAR teams using a rubber boat RIB 10 Kupang Search and Rescue Office to the search location.

He said that during the search operation, the victim was found at 11.25 WITA, dead at coordinates 9°50'19.82"S - 123°41'28.40"E.
"After being found, the victim was immediately evacuated and handed over to the family", said Emi Frizer.
Emi Frizer expressed his gratitude for the humanitarian tasks that have been carried out in synergy with all the potential for SAR, after two days of searching for victims.
He hopes that in extreme weather conditions all residents in the area must be more vigilant to avoid things that are not desirable.
