Police Headquarters Sends Doctors To Lampung To Check The Psychology Of Syekh Ali Jaber Stabber
JAKARTA - The National Police confirms that they will thoroughly investigate the stabbing of the cleric Sheikh Ali Jaber. The National Police Headquarters sent a team of doctors to examine the psychology of Alpin Andria.
Karo Penmas Division of Public Relations of the National Police, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, said the team of doctors was to determine whether Alpin really had a mental disorder.
"This is one of the seriousness of the National Police Headquarters in handling this case to send a psychiatrist from the Pusdokkes Police Headquarters to reveal it," Awi told reporters, Monday, September 14.
In addition, later the investigating team from the Bandar Lampung Police will also take information from medical experts. So, the suspicion about the mental disorders experienced by Alpin Andria can be ascertained.
"After the National Police receive a post mortem, both the victim and the suspect, of course there will be a medical expert examination," he said.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Ali Jaber was stabbed by Alpin during an activity at the Falahuddin Mosque, Tanjung Karang Barat, Bandar Lampung City. Sheikh Ali Jaber was injured in his right hand which later received 10 stitches.
The stabbing took place when Sheikh Ali Jaber explained the content in the Al-Fatihan letter to the congregation. There, Sheikh Ali Jaber asked if there were any children who could read Al-Fatihan letter correctly.
Then there was one child who turned out to be able to read Al-Fatihan letter correctly. Sheikh Ali Jaber also called his son and mother to the stage. When the mother and child were on the stage, suddenly the perpetrator went up on the stage and stabbed Sheikh Ali Jaber.
