Sheikh Ali Jaber: I Do Not Accept That The Perpetrator Is Considered Crazy, He Is Very Brave And Even Trained

JAKARTA - Syekh Ali Jaber said that the perpetrator who tried to stab him during an event at a mosque in Bandarlamping City, Lampung Province, Sunday, September 13, was a trained person.

"I still do not accept this perpetrator if he is considered insane," said Sheikh Ali Jaber when giving a statement to the media, in Bandarlampung, as reported by Antara, Monday, September 14.

According to the Shaykh, when dealing directly with the perpetrator concerned tried to stab him, it was distributed vital but because there was a slight movement from him, the knife went to his upper right arm or shoulder.

"The reaction of the perpetrator when dealing with me was he tried to stab it later, because he failed to stab where the knife was in his hand, he tried to pull it with strength and courage but broke when there was a circular motion from me. brave and even trained, "he explained.

He said that because the person concerned was trained, there must be a puppeteer or person behind him who ordered Wallahuallam Bisawab (only Allah knows best).

"I hope that the law can run and the security forces can act trustfully and honestly because we have great trust in them," he said.

He said that all this was done not for his personal interests, but for the scholars so that in the future they would not become targets of people who want to spend Islam by targeting the kyai.

As previously reported, Syekh Ali Jaber was stabbed by an unknown person on Sunday afternoon at around 17:20 while attending the one million hafidz program in Lampung at the Falahuddin Mosque in Sukajawa Sub-District, Tanjung Karang Barat (TKB), Bandarlampung City.

Syekh Ali Jaber suffered a stab wound 4 centimeters deep and security and medication had been taken.

The Head of Lampung Police, Inspector General Purwadi Arianto, said that the police were still examining the psychology of the perpetrators. Based on the information of the perpetrator's parents, the person concerned has mental disorders. However, he said, the police could not take this confession for granted.

The Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the Bandarlampung Police, was proactive by inviting doctors from the mental hospital to check the psychology of the perpetrators.

"Currently, the initial observation has been carried out from the perpetrator and tomorrow we will officially give a visum to a mental hospital for further examinations," he said.

The perpetrator has also undergone a urine examination which was negative from the influence of prohibited items.
