LPSK Finds New Facts About Human Cage Belonging To The Regent Of Langkat, Including The Perpetrators

JAKARTA - The Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) has discovered a number of new facts related to the alleged misuse of human cages belonging to the inactive Regent of Langkat, the issuance of the Warring Angin Plan.

"We have obtained several new facts, including the perpetrators," said LPSK Deputy Chair Edwin Partogi Pasaribu in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Thursday, February 24.

Apart from Terbit Warin Angin, based on these findings, LPSK suspected that there was involvement of family members and security forces at the residence of the suspect in the alleged bribery case.

"Some are from the regent's family including certain groups," he said.

Edwin has not been able to reveal in detail the particular person, including members of the Terbit family who are suspected of being involved in the human cage case.

However, he added, in the near future LPSK will soon announce the findings of new facts regarding the human cage case belonging to Terbit.

Until now, more than three victim witnesses have applied for protection to the LPSK. The victim's witness was a person who had languished or inhabited Terbit's cage.

"They have submitted an application to the LPSK and we will follow up with protection," he said.

After receiving a request from the victim's witness, LPSK then held a leadership meeting forum to decide on attitudes regarding the provision of protection.

LPSK also continues to monitor the safety of these victim witnesses, including communicating about their needs. After there is a decision in the internal LPSK, all legal proceedings for victim witnesses will be accompanied by the institution.
