Return Of Soetta Airport Train Tickets Due To Floods
JAKARTA - A total of 891 tickets for the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Train have been refunded due to the interruption of the train line due to flooding.
"Yes, if what has been purchased, it is certain that the director of the subsidiary, Railink and KCI will refund (return)," said the President Director of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) while observing the flood victims who took refuge on the railroad tracks in Jakarta, Friday January 3.
He urged the return of ticket fees to the public not to be complicated by complicated procedures.
"We certainly have prepared it and it should not be difficult to return it so that prospective passengers can take other transportation alternatives," he said.
On the same occasion, PT Railink Public Relations Diah Suryandari said that up to Friday January 3, his party had returned the cost of 891 tickets. "Yesterday we returned as many as 200, and as of today there are 891 tickets that we have refunded," he said.
Diah said that based on the regulations for returning airport train tickets, the process will take up to 30 days at the longest. "However, we are trying to return it as soon as possible," he said.
Since the heavy rain on December 31, 2019, the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport railroad has been cut off and until now it cannot be used because the route itself is used for the refuge of victims.
In addition, the Duri-Tangerang electric rail line (KRL) is also not yet accessible and PT KAI is still checking the operational feasibility of this route.
PT Kereta Api Indonesia has also provided assistance to flood victims who have fled around stations and train tracks, especially the Duri-Tangerang electric railroad which was cut off three days ago.
One of the areas around the railroad which is the location for the community to evacuate is the Taman Kota - Kalideres Station.
The route also cannot be activated because at KM 9 + 5 to KM 10 + 1 between Kalideres - Rawabuaya there is still a pool of water above the surface of the Rail Kop.
The first station that became the point of assistance was the Pesing Station where KAI provided assistance in the form of fast food, baby diapers, blankets, milk and so on.
The next point is the Taman Kota Station where the flood victims took refuge on the train platform used for sleeping because the residential area was still inundated with water.
