There's Cheap Cooking Oil At Cempaka Putih Market, Fried Food Sellers Willing To Queue
JAKARTA - Dozens of Cempaka Putih residents are willing to queue to buy bulk cooking oil from a tank car with a capacity of 8000 liters, provided by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government BUMD, at Cempaka Putih Market, Central Jakarta.
Neneng (47) a resident of Rawasari, admitted that she was helped by the service. This is because the woman selling fried foods was worried about the scarcity of oil and the drastic spike in prices.
"I bought 18 liters, the price here is much cheaper. I used up Rp. 189 thousand," Neneng told reporters at the location, Wednesday, February 23.
Besides Neneng, Yuni (34), a resident of Rawasari Village, also admitted that she was helped by the bulk oil operation. He is even willing to buy oil in large quantities for the purpose of trading Nasi Uduk for the next two weeks.
"I bought it for 2 weeks, 30 liters. Because I trade," said Yuni.
Bulk cooking oil is sold for IDR 10,500 per liter at Cempaka Putih Market. Residents who buy, are usually food sellers, and do not mind because the price is relatively cheap.
