To Develop Green Industry, Ministry Of BUMN Synergizes Three BUMN With Income Of IDR 1,200 Trillion

JAKARTA - Three State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), namely PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) or PLN, PT Pertamina (Persero) and PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero), have just signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) or a memorandum of understanding on green industry development. or green energy in Indonesia.

Deputy Minister of SOEs I Pahala Nugraha Mansury said that with the signing of the memorandum of understanding, it is hoped that the green industry can be realized soon.

For your information, the three state-owned companies signed a cooperation agreement to build a green industry and manufacture ammonia and hydrogen.

"We hope that through the collaboration of the three worlds, we can truly realize the green industry cluster," he said at the virtual signing of Green Industry, Wednesday, February 23.

Pahala said that the development of a green industry could be carried out in industrial areas owned by Pupuk Indonesia and its subsidiaries producing ammonia and hydrogen.

Furthermore, Pahala said that Pupuk Indonesia owns the Pupuk Kujang Industrial Estate, West Java, with a total area of about 300 hectares. Then it also has an industrial area in Pupuk Iskandar Muda, Aceh. Then, it also has a factory and Sriwijaya Industrial Estate in South Sumatra and of course PKT in East Kalimantan.

"In the four areas that are currently production centers for ammonia, we hope that in the future we can focus on how to develop blue and green ammonia. This includes also that these areas actually have reservoirs that have been declining so far. than production," he said.

According to Pahala, the concept of the green industry has previously been discussed. With the signing of this cooperation agreement, it can be a momentum to carry out the concepts that have been built.

"Indeed, we have discussed it with three BUMN president directors, so we just hope that this will be a momentum to both see the reality of this green industry cluster," he said.

"It was also conveyed that we in Indonesia must look at the opportunity for developing a green economy, so this is an opportunity for us where other countries do not have the resources that Indonesia has," he continued.

Pahala said the three SOEs made big sales last year. This could be the first step to start a green industry cluster. Of course the goal is to achieve a green economy that is environmentally friendly.

"If we add up the three SOEs that are present here, last year's sales reached Rp. 1,200 trillion, so this is the best of the best of our SOEs. So we hope that what has been signed today, of course, will come true later. we can do it," he explained.
