First Day Of PSBB, Justisi Operations Direct Action Not Socialization

JAKARTA - The joint team of TNI, Polri, and the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta held a justisi operation on the first day of the implementation of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB). In this operation, the offenders will be directly dealt with.

Director of the Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo said that during the yustisi operation the joint team would target people who did not wear masks during their activities. Including when driving.

"If there are those who do not implement it, of course based on the Pergub, they will be dealt with social work for 60 minutes the first time and a fine of IDR 250 thousand," Sambodo told reporters, Monday, September 14.

In addition, justice operations were carried out at eight points in Jakarta, including Jalan Batan Raya Pasar Jumat, Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan, Jalan Raya Kalimalang, Jalan Kalideres, Tugu Tani area, Jalan Asia Afrika, Bundaran HI and Semanggi.

In fact, prosecution of violators in justisi operation was carried out for 24 hours. Either by changing locations or staying.

"Later, there will be a patrol team going around, then if they find people who have violated the provisions of Pergub 88, they will certainly take action," said Sambodo.

Based on the results of the temporary action, said Sambodo, the community's concern was high enough to apply masks. But there are still some who are caught not implementing health protocols.

"But there are still one or two who still commit violations. There are those who bring them but they are not used, or there are those who bring masks but they are not used properly," he said.

Previously, the Head of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, Inspector General Nana Sudjana, emphasized that the police began to carry out the Justisi operation, Monday 14 September. He said, Polda Metro Jaya along with related stakeholders will maximize and intensify efforts in order to support policies that have been submitted by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

Nana explained, this justisitional operation would later be carried out with the Regional Government, PMI, the Attorney General's Office and also the Justice. Even so, the apparatus will still use humanist and persuasive ways. This is intended to be more assertive to the public who ignore the PSBB regulations.
