For 5 Months This Gang Has Broken Into 12 Minimarkets, Stolen Cigarettes And Cooking Oil
TANGERANG - The police arrested seven perpetrators of the minimarket burglary in the Teluknaga area, Tangerang Regency. The perpetrators had the initials RR, JP, NA, CS, DD, IB, and S as intermediaries.
Teluknaga Police Chief, AKP Dharma Adi Walugo said there are 4 other suspects that are still being hunted by his side. They have the initials H, D, S and A.
"Meanwhile, four other suspects are still being sought and have been added to the wanted list (DPO)," Dharma told reporters at the Teluknaga Police Station, Tangerang Regency.
Dharma said the gang had been in action since September 2021 until January 2022. For five months they have broken into 12 minimarkets, stolen hundreds of cigarettes and cooking oil.
"It's been quite a while, from September 2021 to January 2022, they have managed to break into 12 minimarkets in the jurisdiction of the Teluknaga Police," he said.
Dharma explained that this gang always acts from 00.00 - 06.00 WIB, by breaking the minimarket's rolling door lock.
"We (got) 12 reports and incidents. The burglary was discovered when the minimarket was about to open in the morning. After learning of the burglary, the employee reported it to the police," he said.
As evidence, the police seized two motorbikes, one iron scissors, CCTV footage, one crowbar, one iron for prying, screwdrivers, pliers, 125 packs of cigarettes and 20 packages of cooking oil.
The perpetrators were charged with Article 363 Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code regarding theft with a weight, the threat of 7 years in prison.
