JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswaden supports the late Hans Bague (HB) Jassin as a National Hero from Gorontalo Province.
This support was conveyed at the National Seminar on proposing HB Jassin to become a National Hero at the Jakarta National Library office, Tuesday, February 22.

Anies said, HB Jassin has a big role in the journey of the Indonesian nationality. Therefore, according to him, the seminar is not just to remember every moment of HB Jassin's life journey, but to interpret his struggles.
"It's not just writing down the series of events that happened to him, because we are all aware of how big the role of HB Jassin is in our national journey. He is unique, the profession that made him famous is literary critic, his job is to criticize words. The Center for Literary Documentation that he founded is one of the most comprehensive in the world,” he explained.
