Police Arrest 3 Perpetrators Of Beating KNPI Chairman, 2 Still DPO
JAKARTA - The police said there were five people involved in the case of beating the General Chair of the Indonesian Youth National Committee (KNPI), Haris Pertama. Three of them have been arrested.
"The first perpetrators or suspects are MS alias Bram, the second is JT alias Johar, and the third is SS," said Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan to reporters, Tuesday, February 22.
The three suspects, continued Zulpan, were arrested at their respective homes in the Tanjung Priok and Bekasi areas.
While the other two people are still fugitives. They are Harvi and Irfan.
Meanwhile, Director of General Criminal Investigation of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Tubagus Ade Hidayat said the two fugitives were the executor. Currently his whereabouts are still being hunted.
"The first is Harvi alias Avici as the executor. The second is on behalf of Irfan, the executor," said Tubagus.
In this case, two suspects namely, MS and JT are charged with Article 170 of the Criminal Code. Meanwhile, SS was charged with Article 55 of the Criminal Code regarding participating in assisting crimes.
The general chairman of the Indonesian Youth National Committee (KNPI), Haris Pertama, was the victim of a beating. Where, the perpetrators are said to be three unidentified people, on Monday, February 21.
According to reports, the beating began when Haris was about to eat at the Garuda restaurant, Cikini, Central Jakarta. However, suddenly three unknown people appeared who immediately molested him. As a result of the beating, Haris suffered a wound on his forehead.
