Promised To Work Through Social Media, 24-year-old Woman Actually Experiences Sexual Violence In Rice Fields
TANGERANG – The woman with the initials ER (24) admitted to having experienced sexual violence by a man with the initials SH (34), whom she had just met on social media. Apart from being raped, the victim's cellphone and money were also taken away by the perpetrators.
The Tangerang Regency Police Chief, Kombes Zain Dwi Nugroho explained, the incident began when the victim and the perpetrator got acquainted on social media. The victim's interest in knowing the perpetrator was based on posting job vacancies. Investigate a calibaration, the locker post was just a trick of the suspect.
"The suspect and the victim exchanged cell phone numbers," said Zain when confirmed, Tuesday, February 22.
The two also agreed to meet on Saturday, February 19. The victim thought he would be taken to a workplace, but the suspect took him to a rice field area in Sindang Village, Tangerang Regency, Saturday, February 19, at 22.00 WIB. There the victim was raped.
"The suspect threatened to kill the victim with a sharp weapon. He (SH) took the victim's cellphone and money. Then raped the victim in the rice fields," he explained.
After carrying out the action, the suspect left the victim in the rice field. Meanwhile, the victim went to the Pasar Kemis Police Station, Sunday, February 20, to make a report.
Zain said, after receiving the report, his party immediately followed up and looked for the perpetrators.
"We managed to catch the suspect at his house," he said.
Zain said, the suspect was threatened with Article 365 of the Criminal Code and Article 285 of the Criminal Code with a sentence of 10 years in prison.
