Ganjar Pranowo Says Corruption Reporters In Cirebon Who Are Suspects Must Get A Defense

SEMARANG - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo regretted the incident that happened to Nurhayati, the Head of Finance of Citemu Village who became a suspect after reporting allegations of corruption by her village head. Ganjar hopes that Nurhayati can get assistance and investigate the truth of her report.

"This is good news because people dare to report, that's good. I really appreciate it and I watched Ms.nya, who is brave enough, in my opinion, must get a defense," said Ganjar Pranowo in his statement, Monday, February 21.

Ganjar said, incidents of reporting allegations of corruption were reported back and became suspects had often occurred.

"There have actually been several similar incidents, the reporting has been reversed. If not, there is usually pressure," said Ganjar Pranowo from the PDI-P.

In Central Java, Ganjar also frequently receives reports of alleged corruption. Ganjar usually asks the complainant to explain the problem and provide complete evidence.

"So often many people report to me, I have to ask first where the data is, what is the problem, where is the evidence. If it is strong, usually we immediately send a team down secretly," he said.

Ganjar also hopes that people who intend to report allegations of corruption will not be afraid. The complainant must ensure that the evidence is strong and does not rush into making accusations.

"Prepare the evidence, report it properly and in a closed manner. It will be much safer for everyone. But what is already open, it is also important to see what the truth is," he said.

From the case of Nurhayati, Ganjar said this should be a correction for the government to be more serious in responding to similar reports. Thus, fewer and fewer individuals are trying to abuse their authority in managing state money.

"I think it should be a correction for all state officials that we are in the aquarium, watched by everyone very transparently. So be careful with the use of various methods," said Ganjar.
