Police Arrest Perpetrators Of Beating KNPI Chairman
JAKARTA - The police arrested the perpetrator of the beating of the chairman of the Indonesian Youth National Committee (KNPI), Haris Pertama. Currently, the perpetrator is being investigated intensively.
"Yes, that's right (the perpetrator was arrested, ed)," said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan when confirmed, Tuesday, February 22.
Zulpan did not specify the number of perpetrators of the beating who had been arrested. The plan is to release the handling of the case of beating the KNPI chairman to be delivered this afternoon.
"It will be delivered at the time of release at 15.00 WIB," said Zulpan.
Previously, the police began investigating the alleged beating of the victim, the General Chair of the Indonesian Youth National Committee (KNPI), Haris Pertama. The search for evidence and clues is being gathered.
"Already monitoring (the beating case, ed) we are still investigating the case," said the Director of General Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Tubagus Ade Hidayat.
In the process of gathering evidence and clues, the police began to confiscate some CCTV footage. The aim is to identify the three people who are said to be the perpetrators of the beatings. But it is not clear how many CCTV footage has been investigated. But it is said that the recording came from CCTV cameras located at the Garuda restaurant and the home of Haris Pratama.
"We collect everything," said Tubagus.
The general chairman of the Indonesian Youth National Committee (KNPI), Haris Pertama, reported the case of beatings he experienced to the Polda Metro Jaya. The reported parties are three unidentified persons.
According to reports, the beating began when Haris was about to eat at the Garuda restaurant, Cikini, Central Jakarta. However, suddenly three unknown people appeared who immediately molested him. As a result of the beating, Haris suffered a wound on his forehead.
