Reading The Possibility Of Sadio Mane's Berth At The Bernabeu
JAKARTA - Real Madrid have targeted Liverpool striker Sadio Mane as their main summer signing. Mane played well during the Reds' uniform.
The 27-year-old striker admits that he feels at home at Anfield and has a long-term contract with the Merseyside club until 2023. However, Le10sport reported that on Friday, January 3, the Senegal international is the target of Los Blancos and is projected to replace Gareth Bale who is almost certain to leave this year.
The former RB Salzburg and Southampton forward is priced at 150 million euros. Value that is not a big problem for Real Madrid.
It said in the report, initial discussions regarding a possible summer agreement had already been carried out between Madrid and Mane's representatives. So far, there have been no further details regarding the results of the meeting.
On the other hand, Liverpool and Real Madrid are scrambling to get Sevilla defender Diego Carlos. The Andalusian club signed the defender from Nantes this summer for 15 million euros.
Launching El Desmarque, Los Blancos projected Carlos as a future replacement for Sergio Ramos. Incidentally, before wearing the Los Merengues uniform, the Madrid captain also came from Sevilla.
But as it is currently reported, the Reds are one step ahead of the race to land a Brazilian player. They are even willing to pour out 75 million euros to activate the player's release clause.
Carlos moved to the European league from Brazil in 2014 to play for the Portuguese club; Estoril and the Porto B team. Two years later, he moved to Nantes and played three seasons in Ligue 1.
The 26-year-old defender has played in 18 La Liga matches this season and has emerged as one of the best players in Spain's top league.
