Jokowi Inaugurates Former PT RNI Boss As Head Of National Food Agency

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo inaugurated Arief Prasetyo Adi as Head of the National Food Agency. The inauguration was held at the State Palace, Central Jakarta.

Arief Prasetyo Adi previously served as President Director of PT RNI. After being inaugurated, Arief officially led the National Food Agency which was formed by President Joko Widodo through Presidential Regulation Number 66 of 2021 concerning the National Food Agency.

The inauguration then ended with congratulatory messages that were preceded by President Joko Widodo and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin.

After the inauguration, Arief expressed the main activities of the National Food Agency that he would intensify, namely synergy and collaboration.

This synergy and collaboration will be carried out with all relevant ministries and valleys, food stakeholders, associations, breeders, fishermen, and farmers.

"It seems that we really have to synergize, collaborate. This noble goal will not be successful if it is only carried out by the National Food Agency, of course," said Arief at the State Palace, Monday, February 21. Arief's inauguration was based on Presidential Decree No. 7/M of 2022 concerning Appointment of the Head of the National Food Agency, which is set in Jakarta on February 21, 2022.

At the same time, Jokowi also inaugurated Andi Widjajanto as Governor of the Governor of the Indonesian National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas RI).

A number of ministers who accompanied President Jokowi and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin in this inauguration included Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.
