Note, Despicable Me 4 Film Releases July 3, 2024

JAKARTA - Universal Pictures and Illumination announced that Despicable Me 4 will hit theaters on July 3, 2024. Before that, Illumination and Universal will release an original animated film about the duck family, entitled Migration on June 30, 2023.

Broadly speaking, the film depicts Migration as a modern comedy following a family of ducks who convince their overprotective father to go on vacation as they attempt to migrate from New England, through New York City, and eventually down to the Bahamas.

Benjamin Renner will direct Migration, written by Mike White and produced by Meledandri.

For Despicable Me 4, Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Pierre Coffin, Miranda Cosgrove, and Steve Coogan are all returning for the next chapter in the animated family and friendship film about a transformed super villain and his army of yellow Minions.

According to Variety on Monday, February 21, Chris Renaud, who directed the first two Despicable Me films, is back for a fourth. Patrick Delage will also direct and Mike White will write the script.

Illuminati founder Chris Meledandri will produce. There are no details on the film yet, but fans are expecting more funny crimes from Gru (Carell), Lucy Wilde (Wiig), Margo (Cosgrove), Silas Ramsbottom (Coogan) and lots of Minions, voiced by Coffin.

The long wait for DMinions fans has finally come to light, DMinions: The Rise of Gru will hit theaters on July 1 after being delayed by two years by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Quoted from ANTARA, the film follows Gru's childhood exploits, where he tries to join a team of supervillains called Vicious 6. In addition to Carell and Coffin, the voice cast includes Taraji P. Henson, Michelle Yeoh, RZA, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Lucy Lawless, Dolph Lundgren, Danny Trejo, Russell Brand, Julie Andrews and Alan Arkin.
