Anies No Longer Needs Permission To Go To The Ministry Of Health To Enforce Strict PSBB

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said that his party does not need to ask for a permit from the central government, namely the Ministry of Health, to re-enforce the strict PSBB in Jakarta. Because until now, DKI Pemprov still has permission from the central government to implement the PSBB.

"Jakarta still has the status of PSBB, since April 10 until now. So, we are not starting something new," said Anies at the City Hall of DKI, Central Jakarta, Friday, September 11.

Separately, the Acting Director General of Regional Administration of the Ministry of Home Affairs Safrizal ZA also said that DKI could still use the PSBB permit which was first implemented in April 2020.

"The Jakarta PSBB permit has never been revoked since it was approved and implemented. There is no need for a permit, only to coordinate again so that implementation is readiness," said Safrizal.

For information, the PSBB application is regulated in the Minister of Health Regulation No. 9/2020. Areas that can be determined the status of PSBB are areas where the number of cases and / or the number of deaths due to disease increases and spreads significantly and rapidly to several regions.

In addition, a region can be determined as a PSBB if there is an epidemiological link with similar incidents in other regions or countries. To get PSBB status, the head of blood must submit a request letter accompanied by data on the COVID-19 case to Minister of Health Terawan Agus Putranto.

DKI Jakarta became the province that first applied for the PSBB license to the Ministry of Health on Thursday, April 2. After obtaining the permit, the DKI PSBB started on April 10.

Then, DKI decided to change the handling status to transitional PSBB since June 5 with the consideration of economic recovery.

However, after the transitional PSBB has been running for three months, the condition of the COVID-19 case in DKI is starting to get worried. This has led Anies to return his status to PSBB which will take effect on Monday 14 September.
