Witnessed By Lulung, Polda Gives Vests For Health Protocol Discipline Enforcement To Tanah Abang Mass Organizations
JAKARTA - As many as 18 community organizations (ormas) and communities in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta received vests from Polda Metro Jaya. They will serve as supervisors for the implementation of health protocols.
The vest was given by the Head of Metro Jaya Regional Police Inspector General Nana Sudjana at the Block A Tanah Abang Market yard, Friday, September 11. The involvement of mass organizations is said to be carried out as an innovation in monitoring health protocols by involving the community amid the increasing number of COVID-19 cases.
"This is an innovation from us in relation to the implementation of community-based health protocol discipline and supervision," said Nana, quoted by Antara.
Although the movement was only launched in Tanah Abang, later the involvement of communities and community organizations in monitoring health protocols will be implemented in all areas under the Polda Metro Jaya.
"Later from each of our communities we will appoint several people. Those appointed will carry out supervision and discipline related to health protocols. But before that, of course they will be given training," said Nana.
Nana gave yellow vests to five representatives from the community in Tanah Abang.
On the back of the yellow vest was written "Disciplinary Enforcer of the COVID-19 Health Protocol". Meanwhile, on the front of the vest is the symbol of Polda Metro Jaya and the Jayakarta Military Region Command.
Not only providing vests for enforcement of health protocol discipline, Polda Metro Jaya also distributed basic necessities and masks to several community representatives consisting of PPSU officers in urban villages to porters who work at Tanah Abang Market.
Also attending the event were Pangdam Jaya Maj. Gen. Dudung Abdurachman, community leader and member of DPR Commission VII Lulung Lunggana, youth leader Tanah Abang H. Heru Nuryaman and Central Jakarta Mayor Bayu Meghantara.
