COVID-19 Update As Of September 11: New Cases 3,737, Total 210,940

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 31,813 specimens were examined, as a result, there were 3,737 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 210,940 people," the Ministry of Health was quoted as saying, Friday, September 11.

Today's cases increased by 2,707, so that a total of 150,217 people recovered. Then, the confirmed positive cases who died increased by 88 people and a total of 8,544 people.

The province with the most new cases was in DKI Jakarta with 964 new cases and a total of 51,635 cases. DKI Jakarta is also the province with the most accumulated cases in Indonesia.

Followed by Central Java, which has 566 new cases with a total of 17,074 cases. East Java has 566 new cases and a total of 37,455 cases. West Java has 272 new cases and a total of 13,940 cases. Then, Riau has 182 new cases and a total of 3,345 cases.

The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an increase of 900 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 286 recovered cases, East Java with an increase of 284 recovered cases, and Central Java with an increase of 194 recovered cases.

Then, there is 1 province that reported having no new cases today. The province is East Nusa Tenggara.

In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined reached 2,581,433. In detail, 2,534,927 specimens were examined using real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 46,506 using molecular rapid tests (TCM).

"The number of positive results per number of specimens examined (positivity rate) was 14.1 percent," he wrote.

Finally, the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 94,886 people. At present, 490 districts / cities from 34 provinces have had COVID-19 cases.
