Man In Malang Dies After His Head Into A Cracker Fryer

MALANG - Satuki (37), a resident of Balearjo Village, Pagelaran District, Malang Regency, East Java died after his head fell into a cracker frying pan that still contained hot cooking oil where he worked.

The incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday 16 February. Under medical treatment, the victim died, Friday, February 18.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit at the Malang Resort Police, AKP Donny Kristian Baralangi, said that from the testimony of witnesses, the victim at work had complained of being sick before leaving for work.

“This is also acknowledged by the victim's father and wife. He has been complaining of pain since the previous Friday (11/2)," said Donny.

According to witness statements, during the frying process, the victim suddenly collapsed and his face fell into the frying pan.

"The position that fell on the head first," said Donny.

After the incident, the victim was immediately taken to the hospital for medical treatment. The victim at that time was unable to move and the wound on the face was quite severe.

"From the results of the medical examination, it is suspected that the victim died from burns to the head due to hot cooking oil," he concluded.
