Celebrating The 120th Anniversary Of Real Madrid, Lego Launches A Replica Of The Santiago Bernabeu Stadium

JAKARTA - Real Madrid will celebrate its 120th anniversary on Sunday, 6 March. The LEGO toy company didn't want to miss out on participating in this special day.

Reporting from The National News, Friday, LEGO will launch a replica edition of the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, the headquarters of the pride of Real Madrid as a form of celebration.

According to Milan Madge as the designer of the LEGO Real Madrid 120th Anniversary edition, having the opportunity to make a replica of the famous stadium in Spain is a great honor and a very valuable experience.

"Real Madrid is one of the most historic clubs. That's why making a LEGO replica of the Santiago Bernabeu is a very rewarding experience," said Madge.

In order to bring the authentic feel and splendor of the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, Madge said the manufacture of LEGO was very concerned about the scale and detail that was in the stadium itself.

"Authenticity and scale are important factors that will make people feel the grandeur of this stadium," he added.

The Santiago Bernabeu Stadium itself began to be used as the headquarters of Real Madrid since 1947. Where the naming of this stadium is in accordance with the name of the club president at the time.

The LEGO Santiago Bernabeu Stadium edition itself will only go on sale on March 1, 2022 through the official LEGO website. Later, the replica of the proud headquarters of Real Madrid will be priced at US$349.99 or around Rp. 5 million.

Real Madrid is not the first club to have its headquarters made in LEGO form. The Danish toy company previously also launched a stadium owned by Manchester United, Old Trafford and Barcelona's Camp Nou headquarters.

Launched in 2020, LEGO made a replica of Old Trafford Stadium to coincide with its 110th Anniversary. The launch also included details of the old players' tunnel, the Munich clock, statues of Alex Ferguson, Matt Busby and United Trinity.

While the replica of Camp Nou, Barcelona's headquarters, which was released in 2021, is no less detailed. Because in this edition LEGO presents a replica of the stadium press section, VIP entrance, player tunnel to this version of the Barca mini bus which is a fan favorite.
