Police Ensure Death of Chairman of DPRD Lebak at Hotel due to Illness
JAKARTA - The police confirmed that the DPRD Lebak chairperson, Didin Nurohmat, died of illness. The results of the examination found no signs of violence.
"There are no signs of violence. He died under normal circumstances," said South Tangerang Police Chief, AKBP Iman Setiawan, Friday, September 11.
But Iman didn't explain about the illness. It is referred to as personal data so that it cannot be conveyed clearly.
"We cannot convey the illness to the public," he said.
Meanwhile, about the presence of a woman with the initials LL in Didin's room, the police said that she was his colleague. They dismissed the growing issue that the woman was his siri wife.
"From the witness' testimony, there is an interest in him (the deceased) as chairman of the DPRD. But we do not find this fact," he said.
Chairman of the DPRD Lebak Regency, Banten, Didin Nurohmat died at the Marilyn Hotel in the Serpong area, South Tangerang City, Banten, on Sunday, September 6. Allegedly, Didin had a heart attack.
