Scored First Goal When Sevilla Vs Dinamo Zagreb, Martial Insinuated MU

JAKARTA - Anthony Martial scored his first goal for Sevilla vs Dinamo Zagreb. In the first leg of the Europa League play-off round, Martial was one of three names that led to Sevilla's victory.

For his good score in this match, Martial said he was happy because he could contribute to the team. Interestingly, as soon as the game was over, the 26-year-old immediately quipped at Manchester United.

"I enjoy this game. I haven't played three games in a row in a long time. Here (Sevilla) I am excited to play football again, the atmosphere is different from before (at Manchester United)," Martial said, quoted from UEFA's official website.

Martial is a Sevilla player who is on loan from Manchester United and joined in the January 2022 transfer market. Since arriving, Martial has immediately become a mainstay at Sevilla.

So far Martial has had three chances to play in a row, but the striker only scored in the third game, when Sevilla hosted Zagreb.

Martial's situation at Sevilla at the moment is clearly very different than he was at Old Trafford. Because, in the Ralf Rangnick Martial era, it was rare to get a chance to take to the field. With the good opportunity he got from Sevilla, Martial tried to return it with positive things to please the team and the fans.

"This is a special moment for me, today I scored in front of the fans and we won so everyone is happy."

In the duel that took place at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium on Friday, February 18, early WIB, Sevilla secured a 3-1 victory.

Sevilla's three goals were created in the first half, each contributed by Ivan Rakitic via a penalty in the 13th minute, followed by Lucas Ocampos' goal in the 54th minute, and closed with Martial's action in the 45+1 minute. While Zagreb only scored one goal from Mislav Orsic in the 41st minute.

"It (the goal against Zagreb) was a good counter-attack, everyone ran to score and it was a good goal. We knew if we were aggressive, if we ran as a team, we knew we were going to score, and that's what we did tonight."
