JAKARTA - Agus, a victim of the ATM block mode fraud, reported what happened to him to the Duren Sawit Police Headquarters. At that time, he will make transactions and almost become the target of criminals.

The perpetrator blocked an ATM card slot and gave a fake call center number on an ATM machine located on Jalan Robusta Raya, Pondok Kopi, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta on Thursday 17 February yesterday.

The incident began when the victim was about to make a transaction. Suddenly the ATM machine can't process.

When he was about to remove the ATM card from the machine, as a result he couldn't get out and was still stuck to the ATM machine.

According to Agus's statement, his ATM card looks like something is stuck so it can't get out of the ATM machine.

"I want to make a transaction at the ATM. But no transaction, the ATM can't process it. After I cancel, my ATM card can't come out," he told reporters, Friday, February 18.

Then Agus contacted the call center above the ATM machine, but it turned out that the call center number was fake.

"I saw at the place where I entered the card there was a kind of blockage, but I don't understand what type it was. There was a fake number on behalf of BNI," he said.

Agus tried to call the fake number, which was then closed by the perpetrators. But then the allegedly fake call center contacted the victim again.

"From the ATM machine listed on it, the number is taped on the ATM machine. I thought it was not the original BNI number, I blocked it," he said.

Agus almost became a victim of fraud. As a result of the incident, Agus has reported to the Pondok Kopi Police Station. After receiving the report, the Head of Pospol (Kapospol) Pondok Kopi immediately checked the scene.

"I have reported it to the Pondok Kopi Police Post. The authorities checked the machine and it turned out that there was a fake number," he said.
