Erick Thohir Surprised Pertashop Permit Is Difficult: He Considers This A Big Gas Station, Even Though The Petrol Pump Is Mini, Pertamina Must Step In!

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir hopes that the presence of the 10,000 Pertashop program can create new entrepreneurs in the region and create new job opportunities. Because of that, Erick asked PT Pertamina (Persero) to get involved in facilitating the licensing of Pertashop establishments.

"Licensing is difficult because it is considered to be a large gas station, even though it is a mini gas station. Pertamina must step down," he said in the broadcast 'Erick Thohir Supports Pertamina's Pertashop for Regional Entrepreneurs' Business Opportunities, quoted Friday, February 18.

As is known, PT Pertamina (Persero) is the main supporter of the 10,000 Pertashop program. Together with BUMDes, Cooperatives, Islamic Boarding Schools and SMEs, Erick Thohir requested that the 10,000 Pertashop Program be realized in 7,196 sub-districts of Indonesia.

Furthermore, Erick also emphasized that BUMN is no longer an era of being an ivory tower.

"But as a corporation, we must be strong upstream, be able to compete globally, but downstream it is beneficial to the people as much as possible," he said.

Erick Thohir said he was optimistic that Pertashop's presence throughout the archipelago would help increase the income of regional entrepreneurs and create job opportunities. Not only that, said Erick, Pertashop is a solution to overcome fuel shortages in rural areas.

Realize economic equality

In an effort to achieve economic equality, Erick said the central government, regional governments, the private sector, MSMEs and the community must work together. Thus, other motors are needed that can accommodate this, of course, entrepreneurs in the region.

"It is impossible to open jobs only by BUMN, or the central and regional governments. But entrepreneurs are the engine of job creation," he explained.

On this occasion, Erick also expressed his gratitude to the regional entrepreneurs who have shared their commitment to growing the country's economy.

The former President of Inter Milan also asked to be able to synergize and collaborate considering that the economy and business can change due to digital disruption.

"I thank you, entrepreneurs who today have the opportunity to partner with Pertamina. Please take care of each other, remember that the economy is changing, business is changing," he said.
