COVID-19 Increases Again, Central Java Immediately Alerts All Hospitals
JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo instructed all hospitals to be alert to the surge in the number of positive confirmed cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.
"From the results of the inspection, the Tugurejo Hospital beds are quite occupied, there are 59 percent. I see that everything is ready, including additions in case there is an increase. So we all have to be alert and ready with a scenario to return [the situation] to what it was when Delta first," said Ganjar Pranowo in his written statement, Thursday, February 17.
Despite the increase, Ganjar said the overall occupancy rate of hospital rooms in Central Java was still safe because it was only around 30 percent.
"But today's BOR is different from before, you know, in the past there was an addition, now it's returned to the public again, and the BOR is still 30 percent. ready to shift general care to reserve COVID-19 patients," said Ganjar.
Furthermore, Ganjar asked all regional heads in 35 regencies/cities to prepare a centralized isolation area.
Ganjar also said that the Central Java Provincial Government would return to using the BPSDM building and the Haji Donohudan Dormitory as a place for centralized isolation.
"We will also reactivate several emergency hospitals, including centralized isolation. Their regencies/cities also have their own centralized isolation areas. So I ask for all of them to be revived. God willing, we are ready," said Ganjar.
Ganjar added that he had instructed that the Jogo Tonggo Program be carried out again so that massive education could be carried out to the community.
"I have given directions, now all activities must follow the provisions according to the level determined by the central government. The number of events is limited according to the rules, socialization continues to be intensified. This is important I convey so that everything can run," said Ganjar.
