The Tangerang Police Chief's Explanation About His Subordinates Being Shot In The Operation To Arrest The Thief

TANGERANG - Tangerang Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin explained the incident that his member with the initials AD was shot with a firearm while arresting the perpetrators of motor vehicle theft (curanmor) at Poris Plawad Terminal, Cipondoh, Tangerang City.

The incident occurred in the Poris Terminal area, Cipondoh, Tangerang City, Monday, February 14, early in the morning.

It started with resistance from the perpetrators who wanted to injure their members, so strict action was taken.

“Because they saw that their members were in danger, struggling, the other friend took decisive action. Because it was still dark at dawn, it was hit by a sling. The bullet that went through hit another member," Komarudin told reporters, February 17.

"We did not find any other weapons at the crime scene other than a knife. So it can be concluded that the bullets were from members' bullets as well," he continued.

Nevertheless, Komarudin ensured that AD's condition was healthy. Now AD has normal activities.

"It's very healthy, it's okay. It is ready to be assigned to other assignments," he said.
